Chemring has in-house facilities for propellant manufacture, explosive loading, and integration lines for ammunition and rockets and assembly and testing of mechanical and electronic fuses.

Whole of life service

Munitions may stay in stock with end users for significant periods of time. Therefore Chemring provides a whole of life munitions solutions. We conduct in-service surveillance and life predictions. Where necessary utilising Chemring’s test capabilities to assess the state of aging products. Chemring’s demilitarisation facilities have the capability for demilitarisation of time expired munitions. Rounds are dismantled and the energetic material disposed of in safe and environmentally sound manor.
