Are you hands-on, curious about how things work, and keen to kickstart your career in electrical Maintenance? As an
Apprentice Maintenance Electrician, you’ll join a supportive and experienced maintenance team where no two days are the same. From planned inspections to urgent breakdowns, you’ll learn how to keep vital equipment running smoothly in a busy manufacturing environment.
Working alongside qualified electricians and our Controls Engineer, you’ll gain real-world skills, tackle electrical problems, and learn the ins and outs of modern control systems. Most importantly, you’ll get the guidance and training needed to become a confident, fully qualified Maintenance Electrician.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving, and wants to earn while they learn.
What You’ll Learn with Us
As an Apprentice Maintenance Electrician, you’ll gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a key part of our maintenance team. You’ll learn how to:
•
Work safely and effectively with qualified electricians on a variety of electrical maintenance tasks.
•
Carry out electrical inspections and testing of low voltage installations across the site.
•
Perform plant repairs, upgrades, and improvements—keeping equipment running efficiently.
•
Support breakdown response and learn how to troubleshoot and fix faults quickly.
•
Assist our Controls Engineer with inspections, calibrations, and understanding key control systems—including safety circuits.
•
Log maintenance tasks and updates using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
•
Learn how a modern manufacturing site operates and understand how your role fits into the bigger picture.
•
Follow all health and safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environment.
•
Build strong working relationships with your team and develop professional communication skills.
