As an Apprentice Maintenance Mechanical Fitter, you’ll become part of a skilled maintenance team, gaining practical experience while working towards a recognised qualification.
You’ll learn how to keep essential machinery running efficiently - supporting with breakdowns, carrying out inspections, and helping to improve equipment and systems across our busy site. Work under the guidance of skilled Mechanical Fitters to carry out inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment and machinery.
Support with plant improvements and upgrades, learning how to safely dismantle, repair, and reassemble mechanical systems.
Respond to breakdowns and help get machines back up and running - developing troubleshooting skills along the way.
Record maintenance activities using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Follow strict health and safety procedures to ensure work is carried out safely at all times.
Attend team meetings, share your ideas, and learn how continuous improvement works in practice.
Gain insight into how different departments work together to keep the site running smoothly.
Build strong professional relationships with colleagues and develop great communication and teamwork skills.
